Our Best and Worst Acne Product Reviews
When reading acne product reviews, you must be very selective. Most importantly, using the wrong acne products could make your breakouts go crazy. Evaluate every aspect of a review before you act. Most importantly, you should know what kind of acne the treatment is for. But most important is knowing if the treatment you choose is a preventative or only heals existing breakouts. You will also need to decide if you can live with the side effects of the medication.
Our list of acne reviews was compiled with this information in mind. Some of the products are really good. Some of their users seem to literally think they are the best. Others are just plain stinkers. Did your acne treatment make our list? Check the acne product reviews below.
Stars
Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash:
Great product and a great price. It also can be used with basically any degree of acne. The wash was made to remove all the oil. Use the wash two times a day. It does tend to leave skin a little dry. This is easily corrected with oil-free moisturizer. It only took about a week for users to notice improvements. This continued over time. But, just using the wash doesn’t always work for everyone. But if you have really bad acne, the wash will make a noticeable difference. You will be able to clear up mild to moderate acne with the wash.
Proactiv:
This product was put in our stars acne product reviews because it works so good, when it works. Lots of users swear by Proactive – and we don’t mean the stars in the commercials. But there are some very mixed reviews about Proactive. Mild to moderate acne is easily treated with this product. But bad acne might not respond so well. Proactiv will kill bacteria that is in your pores causing acne. While this treatment is very effective, it can also work quite fast if acne is not too severe. Severe acne is no match to this product. Also, once your skin is clear you have to keep using this product or all the bacteria will come back.
Stinkers
Clear and Continuous Control Acne Cleanser:
This facial cleanser is really good. I really like the feel of it on my face. Its really not a good treatment for acne. While it felt good on my face, it had few effects. This product seems to work on those who get regular breakouts and not acne. This product made our “stinkers” list because it does not live up to the “acne cleanser” part of its name.
Murad Acne Treatments:
Murad has a fantastic line of cosmetics and beauty company. However, their acne treatments are not so great. Murad’s acne treatment makes the problem worse for the majority of people who use it. With a money-back guarantee you will have to wait on your refund while possibly dealing with some serious image issues. If you want to try this product, just use it carefully.
Naturally there are many more acne treatments out there. They are the ones that seemed to really stand out. It is always wise to check acne product reviews before buying.
